Optum Transplant Resource Services drives significant discounts through transplant network access.

Optum® Transplant Resource Services (TRS) is built upon a network of high-quality Centers of Excellence (COE). We invest substantial resources to identify and qualify the programs that deliver improved outcomes. Once a program is qualified clinically, we leverage extensive purchasing power to drive deep contractual savings.

Transplant COE network

With the Transplant COE network, clients access aggressive and predictable contracting. These savings are in addition to the cost avoidance achieved through statistically better clinical outcomes realized at COE network programs.

Transplant Access Program network

As an adjunct to the COE network, the Transplant Access Program (TAP) network provides expanded access. This additional network can improve national coverage.

Optum average savings per transplant*

  • 60% commercial
  • 68% Medicaid
  • 70% Medicare

TRS offers benefits for payers including:

  • Significant discounts
  • Access for all lines of business
  • Optimal contract structure
  • Fee-based model
  • Online tools for clients
  • Robust qualification
  • Claims repricing
